The 15 representative metamorphic rock specimens are each approximately 1-1/2” x 1-1/2” and are number coded for identification using the colorful key card.
The specimens included in the kit are as follows: gneiss, graphite schist, mica schist, chlorite schist, slate red, slate black, amphibolite, epidote, phyllite, quartzite tan, quartzite red, marble white, marble pink, hornfels, and anthracite coal.
This is an excellent introduction to minerals for Grades 4-12. The kit is built to last and provide years of use in your classroom.
