The burner tripod is constructed with a cast-iron ring and nickel-plated steel support legs. The legs can be removed for storage. The tripod is 6-inches tall and has a ring that is 3-inches in diameter.
A burner tripod is used as a platform to hold and support glassware, such as beakers and flasks. A wire gauze is generally placed on top of the tripod and under the glassware.
