A galvanometer is a device used to detect and measure small electric currents. It works by using a magnetic field and a moving coil to convert electrical energy into mechanical movement, causing a needle to deflect in proportion to the current.
This galvanometer can measure a range of -500mA to 500mA. Sold in a case of 40.
GSC International 4-130922-40 Analog Galvanometer, -500mA to 500mA; DC; Case of 40
Range of -500mA to 500mA DC. Sensitive to Small Currents: Detects currents as low as microamperes (µA). Conversion to Ammeter or Voltmeter: With resistors, it can function as a voltmeter (measuring voltage) or ammeter (measuring larger currents). Electromagnetic Experiments: Demonstrates the relationship between electricity and magnetism in science classrooms. Moving Coil Mechanism: A coil inside a magnetic field rotates when current flows, moving the needle.
