GSC International 4-CH39-CS Boss Head or Right-Angle Clamp. Case of 100.

A boss head clamp, also known as a right-angle clamp, is used for attaching another clamp or rod to a ring stand or extension rod. The boss head clamp will accept rods up to 5/8 inches in diameter and are made with a cast-metal body and nickel-plated thumb-screws. Sold in a case of 100 clamps.

A Boss Head Clamp (often just called a boss head) is a small but essential piece of laboratory equipment used to securely connect clamps to support rods or retort stands. It’s like a metal joint that acts as a connector between other apparatus parts—kind of like the elbow or hinge in a lab stand setup. It allows you to attach lab clamps (like burette clamps or flask holders) to a vertical or horizontal support rod. It typically holds items at a right angle or variable angles depending on its design. It's adjustable, using one or two thumbscrews to tighten or loosen the grip on both the clamp and the stand. Without boss heads, lab clamps can't be securely attached to stands—they’re the "invisible backbone" of many lab setups!
