This Hoffman electrolysis apparatus is designed for demonstrating the decomposition of water and similar compounds using direct current. It features an H-shaped borosilicate glass body with two 60 mL graduated tubes marked at 0.2 mL intervals and a central funnel for controlled filling.
Each tube is equipped with a precision ground-glass stopcock at the top and sealed platinum electrode at the base to ensure accurate electrolysis and gas collection. The apparatus is mounted on an acid-resistant panel with a stable support stand for safe use in laboratory and classroom environments.
Suitable for chemistry instruction, homeschool education, and advanced demonstrations involving ion movement, electrochemical reactions, and gas evolution.
