Round bottom Florence boiling Flask 50ml capacity. Made of borosilicate glass that is resistant to thermal shock and ideal for dealing with liquids at different temperatures. The Flask has a round bottom, standard rolled-rim neck, and uniform wall thickness. The neck of the flask fits a size 2 rubber stopper. The Flask is autoclavable. Borosilicate glass has the following heat tolerances: Strain Point -515°C | Annealing Point 565°C | Softening Point 820°C. The round bottom allows uniform heating when placed in a heating mantle or hot water/oil bath. Ideal for boiling solvents or reactions where precise and even heat is needed. Less prone to cracking than flat-bottom flasks under thermal stress. Commonly used in distillation apparatus as the boiling flask.
